I've received a few emails from people professing not to know how to post comments to the site.  So I made a nice help page for them.  And just as a reminder, there is other help, too.

I did a site upgrade this week.  Let me know if you have any problems.  There's a lot of stuff under the hood of this one, but not too much that is visible on the surface, except tidier URLs on some of the articles.  I may expose some of the hidden features when I have time to make use of them, but that will happen later.

I put in another software upgrade today, and added a few new features:

• You should be able to search the site using the search box in the right sidebar.  This will look through pages, article postings, photos, and forum comments.  For instance, if you search for a term such as "Patrick", you will find a large amount of site resources devoted to that term.
• There is a new archives format, to make it easier to browse expired site content.
• Added a recent articles summary in the sidebar.  This will show new photos and other articles that do not get added to the front News page.
• Colour icons, oooh.
• Link buttons under articles are permalinks, and will always reach that article, even after the article is expired into the archives.
